Dressmaking Retreat
Arrive on Monday 4.30 pm and leave on Friday 10am
Whether you are an absolute beginner wanting to create your first item of clothing or a more experienced sewer wanting to expand your knowledge and techniques. We will work though the your pattern together or you can work at your own pace with support and encouragement from our tutor Julie or even simply come and socially sew with a group of others.
Our venue of Stickwick Manor is luxurious and inspiring, set amongst the Devon hills we have a dedicated sewing room where your sewing machine can remain set up all day (and all night), we have space for you to sit and sew in front of the fire of an evening with a glass of wine and good company or curl up in a window seat with a book.
We will be taking care of all the everyday details like meals, washing up etc so you can focus on your sewing and enjoy some creative “me-time”
Bring your own sewing machine to make the most of your tutor time.
We recommend a discussion with Julie before the retreat to choose a pattern suitable for your level.
